The brief
Marlow & Finch design public buildings. Their old site was a grid of thumbnails, and visitors left after two projects.
They wanted people to read a project the way they walk through a building: slowly, with a sense of order.
What I did
I made each project a sequence: exterior, plan, interior, detail, with one transition that repeats so the eye learns it.
Motion is limited to a slow reveal and a page wipe. Nothing moves that does not help you find your place.
What changed
Average visit length rose from one minute ten to almost three minutes.
Two commissions in the first year started with the words: I saw the library project on your website.
