The brief
Paperwing makes notebooks and letter sets in small runs. The founder wanted an identity that felt handmade without looking rustic.
The brand had to work on kraft board, on screen, and stamped in one colour.
What I did
I started with paper itself: the mark is a single fold, drawn with three straight lines, and every pack uses the same fold in a different direction.
I wrote a short guideline booklet, eight pages, with real examples of good and bad use, and printed a stamp set so shops could mark their own bags.
What changed
Forty independent shops now stock the range, and the founder says the packaging is the first thing buyers mention.
The guideline booklet has been reprinted twice for new stockists.
